We took the train to Ravenna to see the mosaics and the trip was well worth it! The work, dedication, and wealth to be found the churches is astounding. If ever you find yourself withing striking distance make sure you see this city.

A note for travelers here: Ravenna, amongst other Italian cities, treats it's churches and religious sites as muesems and charges for entrance. In Ravenna there is a single ticket that can be purchased allowing entrance to all 11 sites. Make sure you get this one!
